It was an editorial selection, not a ranked list: the sequence below follows the article’s presentation order, not a best-to-worst score. Rigden wrote, “It’s only July and already we’ve been treated to some of the best television of the past decade.” The percentages are the Rotten Tomatoes figures printed in that 2023 article, not current ratings verified for this guide. How to choose from the 13 shows
Start with the kind of viewing you want. The selection ranges from crime drama and political drama to dark comedy, thriller, and a reality-comedy setup built around a jury trial. Poker Face is the clearest episodic option in the article, with a crime-of-the-week format; several other entries are framed around season-long stories or finales. If you prefer a completed story, the article specifically highlights final seasons for Happy Valley, Barry, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and Succession.
PerthNow did not describe a shared scoring method or rank the shows. Its printed percentages are best read as figures the article reported at publication, not as a common test of quality.
