Yes. Gears of War: Reloaded, a 4K remaster of the original 2006 game, launched on PS5 on August 26, 2025. It is available now; the news is no longer an upcoming-release announcement.
What is Gears of War: Reloaded?
Gears of War: Reloaded remasters the original game, rather than introducing a new story. The Coalition developed it with Sumo Digital and Disbelief. It includes the original’s post-launch content: a bonus campaign act, multiplayer maps, characters, and cosmetics. Xbox Wire’s announcement describes the edition and its contents.

What does the PS5 remaster include?
Xbox lists 4K resolution and assets, remastered textures, improved lighting, shadows, reflections and post-processing, HDR, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, 7.1 spatial audio, and variable refresh rate. Its published performance specifications are 60 frames per second in the campaign and 120 frames per second in multiplayer. Xbox also says the campaign has no loading screens. These are publisher specifications, not independent performance measurements; 4K, HDR and high frame rates depend on compatible equipment. Xbox Wire
PS5 and PS5 Pro features
PlayStation lists DualSense haptics, controller speaker support and adaptive triggers for PS5. How do multiplayer and cross-play work?
The campaign supports two-player co-op, while Versus supports up to eight players. Cross-play works across platforms. Xbox says signing in with a Microsoft account enables cross-progression and cross-platform invites. Xbox Wire
Is Gears of War: E-Day coming to PS5?
Gears of War: E-Day is a separate origin-story game, not another name for the PS5 remaster. Its official platform list names Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and Steam, and does not include PS5. What did Reloaded cost at launch?
Xbox Wire announced a suggested retail price of $39.99 at launch. That is a historical announced price, not confirmation of the game’s current price. Check the PlayStation Store or a retailer for current availability and pricing. Xbox also announced that the game arrived at launch in Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass; subscription catalogs can change, so check the live catalog before relying on that option. Xbox Wire
