Is there a Tell Me Lies Season 4?
No Season 4 has been announced. Oppenheimer said ahead of the Season 3 finale that it would conclude the series. Hulu’s official series page lists Season 3, which premiered Jan. 13, 2026, with two episodes at launch.
That distinction matters: the confirmed news is that the creator announced a series finale. The sources do not establish that Hulu canceled the show for business reasons. Calling the ending a creator-announced conclusion is more precise than presenting it as a documented network cancellation.
Why did Tell Me Lies end after Season 3?

She later explained that the wedding had served as a framing device for the story. Extending the series beyond the finale, she said, would have required changing that structure; she viewed the finale as the most organic endpoint. That is Oppenheimer’s explanation of the creative decision, not evidence of Hulu’s internal renewal deliberations. In a Marie Claire interview, she described the story’s central question as what happens to a group of friends shaped by a toxic dynamic when they reunite years later.
Were fans stunned by the announcement?
