What happened to Niles and Daphne?
According to Slashfilm’s episode report, Freddy explains that Niles and Daphne have moved to Sedona. That is the reported update in this episode; Paramount+’s official synopsis confirms the Seattle trip but does not mention their move.
How their story reached this point
Niles’s attraction to Daphne began when they met in Frasier’s Seattle apartment, and the relationship developed over the original series. The Guardian’s October 7, 2026 interview with Jane Leeves and David Hyde Pierce recalls Daphne learning the truth before her wedding to Donny and choosing to leave with Niles. Pierce described the slow-build romance this way: “Love comes when you least expect it and it takes seven years.” Leeves replied, “But it’s worth it in the end.”

Leeves also recalled that the show returned to the pairing regularly: “There was an episode or two of Niles and Daphne every season.” Her account of Daphne’s uncertainty captures the imbalance between Niles’s feelings and what Daphne could reasonably believe: “Yes, part of her thought that [he liked her], but the other part of her would say: ‘Oh, what are you talking about? He’s married and look where you come from and look who he is. He’s a doctor, for goodness sake.’” These are the actors’ reflections on the original storyline, not details from the revival episode.
