What did Sebastian Guilhaus say after his arrest?
In an Instagram update reported by PerthNow on 6 August 2023, Guilhaus described the week as traumatic, thanked people who had supported him and apologized to family and friends for the stress caused. He said he would not discuss the case while it remained ongoing: I am not going to comment on the situation as it’s ongoing and could be ongoing for quite a while so I don’t want to impede that process.

The report also said he spoke about routine and mental health. His public comments were not an admission of the alleged offence; he expressly declined to comment on the case.
What was he charged with?
PerthNow reported on 30 July 2023 that police arrested Guilhaus after a search and charged him with one count of trafficking a commercial quantity of methamphetamine. The charge is an allegation, not proof of guilt.

The report attributed to police an alleged seizure of 870 grams of methamphetamine. Pedestrian.TV reported Detective Superintendent Billy Thompson’s estimate of its street value as approximately A$90,000. Those are reported police figures and an estimate, not a court finding or independently verified valuation. Thompson was quoted saying: Methamphetamine causes terrible harm to users and to our communities.

Did Guilhaus plead guilty, and what happened at trial?
TV Tonight reported on 24 May 2024 that Guilhaus had pleaded not guilty and that a trial was set for October 2024. The reporting available here does not establish what happened after that scheduled date. It would therefore be inaccurate to say either that he was convicted or that the case ended without a finding.
