Zelig Williams, a Broadway dancer who performed in Hamilton and MJ the Musical, is still listed as missing by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. The agency says he was last seen at his Columbia, South Carolina, residence on October 3, 2024. Hugh Jackman appealed for help finding him that month; that was a historical appeal, not a new post.
Where is Zelig Williams?
Williams’s whereabouts are not established in the sheriff department’s current public listing, which continues to include him among people the agency is seeking. The listing says he was last seen at his residence in the 400 block of Longwood Road in Columbia on October 3, 2024. A family member contacted the department the next day, reporting that relatives had not heard from him since the previous day and that this was out of character.

The agency says Williams was spotted driving near Congaree National Park. A deputy later found the vehicle he was driving in the Palmetto Trail parking lot off Bluff Road. The listing also says he needs prescribed medication. It does not provide a detailed recent investigative update or a last-updated date, so it does not establish what investigative activity may be underway now. What Hugh Jackman said about Williams
In October 2024, Hugh Jackman used Instagram to ask people with information about Williams’s whereabouts to contact local authorities. What has been reported by family and friends
The Associated Press reported that Williams’s family said friends received an automatic emergency notification from his iPhone minutes after he left. AP also reported relatives’ concern about his medication and behavior. These are details attributed to the family, not independently confirmed medical findings or a definitive account of what happened. The State reported that Williams performed in Hamilton in 2016 and appeared in MJ the Musical in 2022. He also toured with Jackman’s 2019 production The Man. The Music. The Show. as a vocalist and dancer. These credits explain the connection behind Jackman’s public appeal; they do not provide information about Williams’s current whereabouts.
