Former Neighbours actor Olympia Valance and her husband, former AFL player Thomas Bellchambers, announced they were expecting their first child, a boy. PerthNow reported the news on 17 August 2024; it is a historical announcement, not a current pregnancy update.

Valance shared that she and Bellchambers were expecting their first child, a baby boy. PerthNow reported that she had kept the pregnancy private for about five and a half months. The outlet quoted her Instagram post: “I’ve been hiding away for the past 5 and a half months to make sure this wasn’t all a dream.” PerthNow’s 17 August 2024 report also reproduced her message to the baby: “To the little one we never thought we’d meet, we can’t wait to hold you in our arms.”
What Valance said about the couple’s fertility journey
PerthNow described four years of fertility struggles, including multiple miscarriages and IVF, drawing on Valance’s account. In the announcement as reported, she described initially feeling afraid after a positive test and gradually becoming more hopeful as the weeks passed. These are details of her personal experience, not general medical guidance or a current update on her health.
Earlier interviews provide context for what she had spoken about before the pregnancy announcement. In a 2024 interview with Nine, Valance said she and Bellchambers had been doing IVF and had miscarried twins during the COVID period. Nine’s interview was recorded in connection with her appearance on The Summit.
