What happened after the duet?
Us Weekly reported on April 3, 2017, that Hill jumped into McGraw’s arms after the performance and the two kissed. Its recap also identified “Speak to a Girl” as their new duet at the time.
How did the performance fit into the awards?
The ACM’s official database lists McGraw and Hill as nominees for Vocal Duo of the Year in 2017. That nomination is award context; it does not mean the performance itself won an award. ACM’s nominee record lists the category entry.
