Jeff the Land Shark is a Marvel hero who can swim in the sea and walk on land. Created alongside other Land Sharks by B.R.O.D.O.K., he was abandoned, adopted by Gwenpool, and went on to join the West Coast Avengers. His comics, friendships, and later connection to Deadpool make him more than a cute sidekick.
Who is Jeff the Land Shark?
Jeff is an unusual creature with sharp teeth who can breathe air, swim in the sea, and walk on land. Marvel describes him as a hero in his own right: he helps other heroes and takes part in their adventures rather than serving only as a pet or comic relief. Marvel’s character biography is the publisher’s overview of his traits and history.
How did Jeff become part of the Marvel Universe?
Created by B.R.O.D.O.K.
Marvel’s biography says B.R.O.D.O.K. created and experimented on Jeff and other Land Sharks as part of a plan to attack Santa Monica. Jeff was left behind after the other Land Sharks were sent into action.
Adopted by Gwenpool
Gwenpool took Jeff in. He joined the West Coast Avengers, where he helped the team and grew close to Gwenpool and Elsa Bloodstone. Gwenpool later entrusted Jeff to Deadpool, who accepted responsibility for him. Marvel’s account presents Jeff as a companion to these characters as well as an active helper in their adventures.
