Fred Ottman’s tribute to his late Natural Disasters partner John Tenta has the clearest documented emotional arc among the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame speeches. But a credible worst-to-best ranking of every speech requires comparing the full performances—and the available official recap and transcript do not provide a complete, comparable record of all four.
What counts as a 2025 Hall of Fame speech?
WWE held its 2025 Hall of Fame ceremony on April 18 at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, during WrestleMania 41 weekend. The principal speech subjects were Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Michelle McCool, Lex Luger, and The Natural Disasters, represented by Fred Ottman, formerly known as Typhoon. WWE’s official recap describes clips from those segments and notes that Shawn Michaels inducted Triple H.

The ceremony also recognized the Bret Hart–Steve Austin match with an Immortal Moment award. That was a tribute to a match, not an individual acceptance speech, so it does not belong in a ranking of speeches. Kamala, Dory Funk Sr., and Ivan Koloff were inducted in the Legacy category; the available information does not establish that each had a live acceptance speech. They should not be counted as speakers without evidence that they spoke.
Why a full ranking cannot be verified
A worst-to-best list needs the speeches themselves, not just a highlight clip or a summary. A fair comparison would consider emotional specificity, storytelling, the speaker’s connection to the honoree, clarity and pacing, and audience response observable in the footage. WWE’s recap establishes who appeared and offers brief descriptions, but it does not provide full transcripts for the four principal speech subjects. Without comparable full performances, assigning every speaker a rank would suggest a level of direct comparison that the available record does not support.

- On March 13th, 2004 - The night before WrestleMania XX - World Wrestling Entertainment held a very special ceremony to induct 11 legends, Jesse "The Body" Ventura, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Don Muraco, Big John Studd, Junkyard Dog, "Superstar" Billy Graham, Sgt. Slaughter, Tito Santana, Harley Race, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and Pete Rose, into its hallowed Hall of Fame. These are the highlights
The Natural Disasters’ speech: the strongest documented emotional arc
Fred Ottman published a transcript of his remarks on his official website. He describes the induction as the greatest professional honor he had received and recalls that he and John Tenta spent “over 300 days a year” on the road together. That figure is Ottman’s recollection in his speech, not an independently verified statistic.
The transcript moves from their years as partners to their friendship: Ottman calls Tenta his best friend and “brother from another mother.” He then recalls learning that Tenta’s cancer had returned and closes by dedicating the honor to his late partner. Those details give the speech a clear emotional progression—from gratitude, through shared life on the road, to loss and remembrance. They make it the most fully assessable speech in the available written record, but a transcript alone cannot establish how its delivery, pacing, or crowd connection compared with the other speeches.

Who was inducted in 2025?
The ceremony’s individual and tag-team honorees included Triple H, Michelle McCool, Lex Luger, and The Natural Disasters (Earthquake/John Tenta and Typhoon/Fred Ottman). The event also included the Immortal Moment recognition for Bret Hart and Steve Austin, plus Legacy inductions for Kamala, Dory Funk Sr., and Ivan Koloff. Those honors are part of the ceremony, but they are not all acceptance speeches delivered on stage.
