Season 2 release date and episode count
Apple announced a 10-episode season that premiered globally on Friday, February 27, 2026. Episodes were released weekly on Fridays, with the finale arriving May 1, 2026. The season is therefore complete as of October 8, 2026. Apple TV Press’s February 3, 2026 announcement gives the schedule and episode count.
What happens in Season 2?
Apple’s official setup says Monarch’s fate—and the world’s—hang in the balance. The story reunites heroes and villains on Kong’s Skull Island and introduces a mysterious village connected to a mythical Titan rising from the sea. Apple identifies that new Titan as Titan X; Godzilla and Kong also feature. This is the season’s promotional premise, not a full episode-by-episode account.
The modern-day story moves forward from Season 1: Apple places the first season’s present-day events in 2015 and Season 2’s in 2017. Both seasons also include flashbacks to the 1950s. Apple TV’s Season 2 information page outlines the timeline and premise.
