Their celebration brought 26 guests to a New England harbor for a coastal, intimate wedding. The details below are drawn from the couple’s interviews in Brides’ September 2, 2021 feature.
When and where did Taylor Strecker and Taylor Donohue get married?
The couple married on August 14, 2021, at the home of Strecker’s parents in Cohasset, Massachusetts, according to Brides’ September 2, 2021 feature. They chose the property because they had spent six weeks there during the pandemic, and it had come to feel like a second home. They wanted to share its harbor setting with family and close friends.
The wedding combined Strecker’s wish for “Nantucket vibes” with Donohue’s preference for a small, intimate event. The result was a 26-guest celebration beside the water, followed by cocktails and a seated dinner.
What did the couple wear?
Taylor Strecker’s jumpsuit
Strecker wore a jumpsuit from ASOS Bridal. She said it covered her arms and had pockets, and later recalled that it cost $200. The feature does not identify the garment’s model or establish that it remains available; the recalled price is historical, not a current price.

How did they plan the wedding?
The couple had about nine months to plan after getting engaged in November 2020, though much of the work happened during the final six weeks. A forecast of thunderstorms prompted them to try to erect a 40-by-20-foot pink-and-white tent; the attempt was unsuccessful. Strecker recalled that the forecast cleared while they were getting ready.
They divided up hands-on details. Donohue hung bistro lights and made playlists. Strecker’s sister, Paige Dusel, handled indoor lighting and floral arrangements, while Strecker arranged crystal candlesticks and a Moroccan-themed lounge and dance floor.

What personal details shaped the day?
Strecker’s mother made the wedding cake herself. Strecker recalled that the ingredients cost $7: Duncan Hines spice cake and homemade icing. That is her recollection of this cake, not a general measure of wedding costs.
Strecker also described the planning approach as a matter of compromise: “We didn’t always have the same vision, but were always able to find a compromise.” Her advice about the wedding-day details was: “Don’t sweat the small details because the only one who will notice is you.”
