What are the Seven Colossi?
Known in Japanese as 七つの最強種, the Seven Colossi are a group of secret unique monsters in the fictional game Shangri-La Frontier. The story associates encounters with them with special scenarios, but details about the roster and its rules are not equally well established in the official anime material. The list below uses narrative prominence and the clarity of available story information as its ranking criteria.

Spoiler scope: The first two entries are covered by official anime character and introduction pages. Entries three through six concern later story material and may spoil manga developments. The last slot is unresolved in the secondary roster used here.
The Seven Colossi, ranked by story prominence
1. Lycagon the Nightslayer
Lycagon is the most immediately defining Colossus in the anime’s setup. The official anime character page describes it as an unpredictable monster that appears from darkness and marks players who reveal their strength. That mark functions as a curse that restricts the player, making the encounter consequential beyond the fight itself.

#1 Best Overall
The official anime introduction places Sunraku’s encounter with Lycagon near the beginning of his play. Its elusive-hunter identity and the lasting mark give it a particularly clear role in establishing what makes a Colossus different from an ordinary boss.
2. Wethermon the Tombguard
Wethermon is a peerless hero guarding the grave of a loved one who died long ago, according to the official anime character page. Its fight is defined by dangerous mechanics: Wethermon has attacks that can instantly kill players, and after ten minutes of battle it summons Kirin, a horse-shaped robot.
Rank #2
The official anime introduction says Sunraku, Pencilgon, and OiKatzo defeat Wethermon. The encounter joins a character motive, a timed escalation, and lethal attacks, making Wethermon the most fully explained Colossus fight in the anime material cited here.
3. Ctarnidd of the Abyss (manga spoilers)
Ctarnidd appears in the roster as one of the Colossi, and official anime character material introduces characters and quest context connected to its unique scenario. That supports its place in the larger story, but the sources cited here do not establish enough about its mechanics or status to offer a detailed fight analysis. Treat specific encounter descriptions as manga spoilers and consult the manga itself for exact developments.
Rank #3
4. Siegwurm the Sky Ruler (manga spoilers)
Official character material links Siegwurm to Akitsuakane: it says Siegwurm recognizes her and that she receives a mark or curse. It also identifies Ceecrue as bringing Akitsuakane to Vysache. These details establish a story connection, not an objective measure of Siegwurm’s strength or a complete account of its encounter.
5. Goldhuneenay the Inexhaustible (manga spoilers)
Kodansha’s English Shangri-La Frontier, Volume 24 description directly connects a curse-hunting quest to Goldhuneenay, calling it “one of the Seven Colossi.” The publisher page uses the spelling “Goldhuneenay.” This gives the Colossus a clear connection to a later manga arc, though the plot description alone does not support ranking it by combat power.
Rank #4
6. Orchestra of the Doom Echo (manga spoilers)
A secondary roster lists Orchestra of the Doom Echo among the Colossi, but the official pages cited here do not provide a useful character profile. Its place in this ranking reflects how little story information is established in those sources; personality, encounter details, and current status should not be guessed.
7. The unresolved roster slot
The same secondary list marks its final entry as unknown. The identity remains unresolved in the evidence cited here, so it would be misleading to replace it with a fan theory or another character based on inference. This position reflects the lack of an identified member, not a story or strength judgment.

Who is the strongest of the Seven Colossi?
The official sources cited here do not provide a comparable strength scale or a full set of feats that would support a reliable strongest-to-weakest ranking. The Colossi have different encounter conditions and story roles; a timed phase, a curse, or a defeat in the plot is not by itself a fair comparison. The ranking above is therefore about how prominently and clearly each member has been developed, not canon power.
Which Colossi has Sunraku defeated?
The official anime introduction establishes that Sunraku encounters Lycagon and later defeats Wethermon with Pencilgon and OiKatzo. It does not settle Sunraku’s full progress against the Colossi in the latest manga material. For later developments, check the manga volume or chapter you are reading and its spoiler context.
Where to continue in the manga
For a publisher-backed link between a Colossus and a later story arc, Kodansha’s English Volume 24 description names Goldhuneenay in connection with a curse-hunting quest. That listing identifies a digital release dated March 24, 2026; availability and edition details can vary by region and retailer. Check your current volume and spoiler tolerance before jumping ahead, since the description does not establish that Volume 24 is the right continuation point for every anime viewer.
Anime schedule
As of October 8, 2026, the official anime site advertises season three as beginning January 10, 2027. Release schedules can change; consult the official anime site for the current announcement.
