You are my everything. Good night. I love you. Those are my last words,” he said, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.
What was Eric Dane’s final interview?
Dane recorded an episode of Netflix’s Famous Last Words, a series in which interviews are held for release after a subject’s death. Executive producer Brad Falchuk interviewed him. The Associated Press reported that no one else was present on set during Dane’s taping; Falchuk said the format is intended to let guests speak honestly and leave something for viewers to experience with them after they are gone.
The nearly hour-long conversation covered Dane’s life and career, his ALS diagnosis and how living with the disease changed his perspective. It is a personal reflection, not medical guidance about ALS. Netflix released the episode after Dane died in February 2026. Watch Famous Last Words on Netflix.

Reports on the interview describe four themes in Dane’s advice. These are summaries of his points, rather than one continuous quotation:

- Find love or purpose. He encouraged his daughters to love someone or pursue something that gave them a reason to get up each morning.
- Build supportive relationships. He spoke about finding people who support you, letting them find you, and showing up for friends.
