Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney said Travis Scott is welcome in Fortnite, but he did not announce a return for Scott’s outfit or other cosmetics. His statement, reported on July 27, 2023, said he was not involved in Item Shop rotations and did not know when items would appear. It is not a new return announcement.
What did Tim Sweeney say about Travis Scott?
In a statement reproduced by Fortnite News on July 27, 2023, Epic CEO Tim Sweeney said:
“Travis Scott is welcome in Fortnite. I’m just not in the loop on item shop rotations so I don’t know what’s coming when, or what specific agreements with celebrities and brands affect the timing of those decisions.”
The comment answers whether Scott is welcome in Fortnite. It does not confirm that Epic has scheduled the return of the outfit, a music track, an event, or any other Scott-related content. The quoted statement is reproduced by the report; the original social post was not directly available to verify.

Is Travis Scott coming back to Fortnite?
The statement does not establish that he or his cosmetics are coming back. Sweeney explicitly said he did not know what was coming when in the Item Shop, and that specific agreements with celebrities and brands could affect timing. No return date or guarantee appears in the statement.
When will the Travis Scott skin return?
No date is established by the statement or Epic’s shop guidance. Epic Support says the Item Shop rotates and advises players to check back when an item is unavailable. That guidance does not promise that any particular item will return. Epic also says Support cannot grant items or offers that are not currently in the shop.

Does Epic’s Battle Pass policy apply to the Travis Scott cosmetics?
Not on the evidence in Epic’s guidance. Epic says Battle Pass items released after August 7, 2024 may be offered in the shop at least 18 months after a Pass expires, but it explicitly does not guarantee their return. That policy concerns qualifying Battle Pass items; it does not establish a return rule for Travis Scott cosmetics. See Epic’s explanation of when items may return to the Fortnite shop.
Is Travis Scott banned from Fortnite?
Sweeney’s statement says Scott is welcome in Fortnite. It does not address every possible reason an item might be absent from the shop, nor does it confirm a future collaboration or cosmetic release. Being welcome and having a purchasable item scheduled are separate matters.
