It is not B.B. King’s Lucille.
Where to find the Lucille Strat project
Moose’s Shed is the direct match for the “Lucille (Strat Renovation)” project. The blog account identifies the guitar as the author’s brother’s Peavey Raptor, a beginner guitar with a Strat-style design. The linked homepage is the source for the series; the available information does not confirm that every installment is still accessible.
Why it is different from B.B. King’s Lucille
The name can point to two different guitars. The Moose’s Shed project is a renovation of a Peavey Raptor. B.B. King’s Lucille, by contrast, was based on a modified Gibson ES-355, as Sweetwater explains. The blog project is not an official Peavey, Fender, or Gibson Lucille model.
What the renovation posts cover
The project account describes removing the guitar’s old parts and sanding away its paint. It also says the body was plywood, which shaped the finishing plan: an attempted wood-stain finish led to a rethink of the approach. The posts document an individual DIY project, not a manufacturer’s product guide.
