A January leak pointed to that date before Bethesda confirmed it the following day, turning what had been a potential release window into an official launch date.
Did the DOOM: The Dark Ages leak get the date right?
Yes. Nintendo Life reported on January 22, 2025, that a Gamekult article appeared prematurely and listed May 15 as the release date. That was secondary reporting about the leak, rather than direct confirmation of how the page became public. Microsoft and Bethesda issued official materials on and after January 23, and Bethesda’s support page now confirms May 15, 2025, as the launch date. The reported date matched the official one.
