Spoilers for episodes 9 and 11 and DAIMA’s climax. Majin Kuu is an artificial Majin created by Dr. Arinsu and Great Witch Marba. His first assignment is to challenge Tamagami Number One; after Kuu gives up when confronted by its strength, Arinsu creates Majin Duu using the remaining essence of Buu and the last Saibaiman seeds. Kuu later joins the group fighting Third Eye Gomah.
Who is Majin Kuu in Dragon Ball DAIMA?
Kuu is a Majin made through Dr. Arinsu and Great Witch Marba’s research in the First Demon World. The official Dragon Ball character announcement published December 7, 2024 identifies the creators and says Kuu appears at the end of episode 9. His only line in that appearance is “Understood.”
Kuu’s introduction connects him to Arinsu’s plans, but the announcement does not spell out the scientific or magical mechanics behind his creation. It is safest to describe him as an engineered Majin rather than fill in details the story summary does not establish.
What is Kuu’s first assignment?
Kuu challenges Tamagami Number One, a guardian of a Demon World Dragon Ball. He gives up when faced with the Tamagami’s strength, according to the official announcement published December 21, 2024. That outcome explains why Arinsu turns to another creation, but it does not provide a numerical measure of Kuu’s power or establish a general ranking among characters.

Why does Arinsu create Majin Duu after Kuu?
After Kuu’s challenge, Arinsu uses the remaining essence of Buu and the last Saibaiman seeds to create Majin Duu. The official account establishes the order and the materials it names: Kuu comes first, his attempt against Tamagami Number One ends in surrender, and Duu follows. It does not give a numerical comparison of their strength, so the sequence alone should not be treated as proof of a definitive hierarchy.
Is Majin Kuu related to Majin Buu?
The official account links Kuu and Buu through Arinsu’s later use of the remaining Buu essence to make Duu. It does not say that Kuu is Buu’s relative or that Kuu himself was created from that remaining essence. Kuu’s stated creators are Arinsu and Marba; the Buu-essence detail belongs to Duu’s creation.

What does Kuu do later in DAIMA?
Kuu’s story role extends beyond the initial challenge. In the climax, he joins the group fighting Third Eye Gomah, as described in the official announcement published February 8, 2025. That establishes his participation in the larger confrontation, not a specific feat or motive beyond what the announcement says.
