Fechas clave para entender la investigación y los mensajes
- 20 de diciembre de 1968: David Faraday y Betty Lou Jensen fueron asesinados en Benicia, según la cronología del Chronicle.
- Julio de 1969: se enviaron a tres periódicos las partes del Z408; los Harden entregaron su solución en agosto.
- 11 de octubre de 1969: Paul Stine, taxista de 29 años, fue asesinado en San Francisco.
- 8 de noviembre de 1969: el Chronicle recibió el Z340.
