People en Español también recogió el recuerdo de sus familiares, quienes la describieron como “una esposa amorosa, una madre dedicada, y un alma bella, cuya luz tocó a todos los que la conocían”.
¿Qué le pasó y dónde ocurrió?
La muerte ocurrió el 15 de agosto de 2025 en Glendale, Arizona. Las reconstrucciones publicadas por People en Español, Milenio y Noticias RCN señalan que se produjo un enfrentamiento entre conductores y que un disparo alcanzó el vehículo en el que iba Hermosillo, quien era ajena a la disputa. Estos detalles proceden de reportes periodísticos que retomaron información policial y medios locales; no se presenta aquí una revisión directa del expediente policial o judicial. Milenio y Noticias RCN publicaron sus versiones el 19 y 20 de agosto de 2025, respectivamente.
Qué se informó sobre la causa de muerte
Un artículo de Yahoo News publicado el 17 de abril de 2026 resumió información de un informe del médico forense que, según PEOPLE, había sido obtenido por ese medio: la causa de muerte fue una herida de bala en la cabeza y la muerte fue clasificada como homicidio. La atribución es indirecta: el reporte de Yahoo resume el documento que PEOPLE dijo haber obtenido, y no enlaza al informe forense primario. Yahoo News Malaysia.

Arresto y cargos reportados
People en Español informó que Jesús Preciado Dousten fue arrestado y enfrentó cargos de asesinato en segundo grado. Esa es la situación descrita por la cobertura consultada; un arresto o una acusación no prueban culpabilidad ni informan por sí solos del resultado final del proceso. No se dispone aquí de una resolución judicial final para atribuirle una condena.
Cómo se recuerda a Hermosillo
La cobertura también recogió el dolor de su familia.
