Eddie Fatu, known to WWE fans as Umaga, was billed at 6 feet 4 inches tall and 350 pounds. WWE’s profile identifies him as an Intercontinental Champion and says he headlined WrestleMania 23’s Battle of the Billionaires. A 2010 report attributed his cause of death to acute toxicity from the combined effects of three drugs. His exact birth date is not confirmed by the primary sources reviewed here, so his age cannot be stated as independently verified.
Who was Eddie “Umaga” Fatu?
Eddie Fatu was a professional wrestler who performed in WWE as Umaga, nicknamed “The Samoan Bulldozer.” WWE billed him from “The Isle of Samoa,” named the Samoan Spike as his signature move, and lists the Intercontinental Championship among his career highlights. WWE’s official Umaga profile also says he competed against wrestlers including CM Punk, Ric Flair, John Cena, Jeff Hardy and Triple H.
How old was Umaga?
Umaga’s age is not established here from a primary source because the reviewed primary material does not confirm Eddie Fatu’s exact birth date. A secondary biographical result gives March 28, 1973, and a death date of December 4, 2009, which would make him 36. Treat that age as secondary-source information, not a primary-source-verified fact.
How tall was Umaga?
WWE lists Umaga at 6 feet 4 inches tall. This is the height in the company’s superstar statistics, so it is best understood as his WWE-listed or billed height rather than an independently verified physical measurement. WWE’s profile lists his weight as 350 pounds in its statistics, while the accompanying prose calls him a 348-pounder; the profile does not reconcile the two figures.
