His first message told ticket holders to hold onto their tickets, but the tour was later reported cancelled in November 2024. The initial promise that tickets would be honored for rescheduled dates was not the final outcome.
What did Donald Glover announce?
In a statement reproduced on the American Airlines Center event listing, Glover wrote: “hey everyone. unfortunately i have to postpone the rest of the north american tour to focus on my physical health for a few weeks. hold onto your tickets.” He added that all tickets would be honored for North American dates “when they are rescheduled,” and thanked fans for their privacy and support.
The announcement was a postponement, not a cancellation. Glover said he needed to focus on his physical health; he did not publicly identify a condition. Contemporaneous Los Angeles Times reporting likewise noted that he did not provide specific medical details. No diagnosis should be inferred from the statement.
How the tour update changed
September 9: remaining North American dates postponed
The North American leg had begun in Oklahoma City on August 11, 2024, and was scheduled to run through October 3 in Chicago, according to the Los Angeles Times itinerary report. Glover’s September 9 message postponed the dates still to come. The American Airlines Center listed the Dallas show’s original date as September 11 and reproduced his statement; WILLOW was listed as special guest.

November: cancellation reported
On November 22, 2024, Exclaim! reported that the tour had been cancelled after Glover said his recovery was taking longer than expected. That later report changes how to read the September ticket assurance: tickets were initially promised for future rescheduled North American dates, but those dates were not ultimately announced as rescheduled in the later coverage.

Check the original ticket seller or the venue listing for your specific event to see what refund or exchange options apply. The initial statement does not establish a current remedy, and policies can depend on the event and seller.
