Yes: Demon Slayer’s Infinity Castle story is planned as a three-film theatrical event that will culminate the anime’s adaptation of the manga’s final arc. The first film premiered in theaters in 2025 and became available on Crunchyroll in many territories on July 28, 2026. The other two films do not have publicly announced release dates; in May 2026, Crunchyroll’s CEO said the second was actively in production.
What the June 2024 trailer announced
Crunchyroll’s June 30, 2024 trailer introduced Infinity Castle as an “epic trilogy event” coming to theaters. It established the three-film format, not a complete release schedule: it did not give dates for all three films. The official trailer framed the announcement as a theatrical event.
On July 1, 2024, the official Demon Slayer English site confirmed that the manga’s final arc would be adapted as three films. It said Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment would distribute them theatrically in worldwide territories, with exclusions in some Asian regions, including Japan. See the official trilogy announcement for the distribution details.
Is Demon Slayer ending with the Infinity Castle movies?
The trilogy is intended to adapt the manga’s final arc and bring the anime adaptation of that story to its culmination. That does not mean the June 2024 trailer announced that the films were already complete, or that all three had dates. As of May 2026, two films remained after the first.
