Reports from CinemaCon 2024 described a brief image of Thor crying over Deadpool’s body on a TVA screen. BGR’s account says Mr. Paradox told Wade Wilson the scene takes place in the distant future. That is a reported moment from footage shown to attendees—not confirmation of a future Avengers or Secret Wars plot, and not proof that a complete public video of the presentation leaked.
What did the CinemaCon footage reportedly show?
Disney’s official CinemaCon recap says Marvel Studios presented an exclusive look at Deadpool & Wolverine in Las Vegas. In a contemporaneous account, BGR described an image on a TVA screen: Thor appears to be crying over Deadpool’s body. BGR reported that Mr. Paradox characterizes the scene as happening in the distant future.
The image invites questions about what happens to Deadpool, but the account does not establish why Thor is there, whether the moment is literal, or how it connects to any later Marvel story. BGR’s discussion of possible Avengers and Secret Wars implications is speculation, not information confirmed by the footage description.
Did the complete CinemaCon video leak?
The sources establish that attendees saw an exclusive presentation and that media outlets published written descriptions of it. They do not verify an authorized public release of the complete footage or identify the origin of any purported upload. It is therefore more accurate to say the CinemaCon footage was described in reports than to claim a complete video leak has been authenticated.

The distinction matters: a written account of a private screening can report a striking moment without establishing that viewers can watch the full clip or that a circulating video is genuine.
What else was in the reported presentation?
ComicBook.com’s April 11, 2024 recap described an opening phone-silencing public-service announcement featuring Deadpool and Wolverine. The separately described film footage introduced Wade as a car salesman, showed friends gathering for his birthday, and then brought in the TVA to recruit him for a mission.

Post-release reporting provides context about the film’s cameo culture, but it should not be confused with what the CinemaCon footage revealed. In a July 29 interview, Variety reported surprise appearances by Chris Evans as Johnny Storm, Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Wesley Snipes as Blade, and Channing Tatum as Gambit. Levy also said the Taylor Swift cameo rumor “was never true.” Those details came after the film’s release; they do not establish that any of those actors appeared in the CinemaCon Thor image.

Variety’s July 23 coverage quoted executive producer Wendy Jacobson acknowledging that there “may or may not have been some subterfuge and misdirections” to protect cameo secrets. Levy said cameos were not meant to be the movie’s story. Those remarks are a reason to treat early rumor accounts cautiously, not evidence that this particular footage description was deliberately planted or false.
