I Kill The Bear is a six-part Crave Original comedy created, written and led by Jared Keeso. It follows the Thibaults, a fourth-generation Franco-Ontarian family of film-set bear wranglers preparing to make their last movie after a century in the business. The series is scheduled to premiere on Friday, November 6, 2026, with two episodes released weekly.
What is I Kill The Bear about?
Bell Media describes the show as a comedy about “a family of bear wranglers for film sets, and why, after 100 years, they’ve decided to make this film their last.” The Thibaults are kind, well-intentioned people who have spent much of their lives isolated in the bush. Their final film brings them into a Hollywood environment they do not fully understand.

When does I Kill The Bear come out?
The six-part series is scheduled to begin Friday, November 6, 2026, on Crave, with two episodes released each week. The current Crave program page lists the show as “Coming Soon”: Crave’s I Kill The Bear page.

Who is in the cast?
The announced ensemble includes Jared Keeso, Georges St-Pierre, Sarah-Maude Beauchesne and Jonathan Torrens, who are identified with the Thibault family, alongside Adrian Holmes, Chad Kroeger, Kristin Kreuk, Scott Thompson, Dylan Playfair, Eliana Jones, Frederick Roy and Megha Sandhu.
Bell Media’s guest-performer list includes Andrew Antsanen, Jann Arden, Brent Butt, Kim Coates, Tricia Helfer, Michelle Mylett and Melanie Scrofano, among others. These names are announced as guests, not as part of the main ensemble.

Who made the series?
Keeso is the creator, writer, star and an executive producer. The story is by Keeso and producer Trevor Risk. Dan and Sean Skene are directors and executive producers; Mark Montefiore and Kara Haflidson are executive producers, and Max Wolfond is supervising producer for New Metric Media. New Metric Media produces the series with Play Fun Games and in partnership with Bell Media’s Crave.

A 2025 cast announcement said production was underway in Sudbury, Ontario, and named New Metric Media as the international distributor. That announcement did not identify foreign territories, platforms or launch dates; no U.S. or other territory-specific outlet has been announced in the official sources cited here.
