Crunchyroll’s April 3, 2025 update said Dandadan season 2 would stream on the service when it debuted in July 2025. It also revealed cast members connected to the Evil Eye story arc, shared a key visual, and announced an overseas theatrical preview of the first three episodes beginning June 6, 2025. The preview was a separate event, not the season’s television or streaming premiere.
What Crunchyroll’s update included
Crunchyroll News published its season 2 announcement on April 3, 2025. The update brought together the July streaming plan, new cast information for the Evil Eye storyline, a key visual, and news of a theatrical screening outside Japan. Crunchyroll’s announcement described the service’s plan at that time; it is not confirmation of the current catalog in every country.
The theatrical preview was not the season premiere
The event, titled DAN DA DAN: EVIL EYE, screened the first three episodes outside Japan beginning June 6, 2025. That limited theatrical preview preceded the season’s Japanese television launch and the July streaming plan. The dates describe different release formats, not conflicting premiere dates.
When season 2 began airing in Japan
The official Japanese anime site had announced in December 2024 that season 2 was planned for July 2025 in the Super Animeism TURBO slot. Aniplex’s season page gives the Japanese MBS/TBS 28-station network start as July 3, 2025, at 24:26 (the late-night listing convention for 12:26 a.m. on July 4). Its historical listings also give AT-X from July 4, BS Nippon TV from July 8, and Animax from July 26; the page notes that schedules can change. These are Japanese broadcast details, not a guide to international streaming dates. Official July 2025 broadcast announcement · Aniplex season 2 page

What the official season page says about the series
Aniplex describes Dandadan as an adaptation of Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app. Its premise brings together Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura, known as Okarun, whose disagreement over spirits and aliens leads them into supernatural encounters. Science SARU is credited as the animation studio, and Fuga Yamashiro and Abel Gongora are listed as directors. The page also states cumulative circulation of over 10 million copies, but does not specify the year for that figure.
