What was Dafne Keen keeping secret?
Keen was concealing her return as Laura/X-23 in Deadpool & Wolverine. She had played the character in Logan; her return was the news she could not discuss while the film’s involvement remained under wraps.

The secrecy made for an unusual overlap: Keen was appearing in interviews to promote The Acolyte, the Star Wars series in which she played Jedi Padawan Jecki Lon, while avoiding questions about her Marvel role. The two characters are separate parts in separate franchises: Jecki Lon belongs to The Acolyte, while Laura/X-23 is the role she reprised in Deadpool & Wolverine.
Why did Keen say she enjoyed the secret?
In an interview published July 19, 2024, io9/Gizmodo quoted Keen saying, “I had a great time keeping it secret.” Her remark framed the concealment as something she found amusing rather than simply a burden of press appearances. Read the io9/Gizmodo report.
