Several remaining shows and related events were also canceled or removed from listings. The available announcements and reports do not confirm whether the deluxe album was later released, rescheduled, or formally canceled.
What was announced—and what happened on September 19
Universal Music Canada announced Withered Deluxe: Marcescence on August 1, 2025, for Darkroom Records and Interscope. The label said the release date would be announced later, and also announced the single “L.O.V.E.U,” featuring hannah bahng. It described Withered as d4vd’s 15-track debut album, intended to be heard sequentially. Universal Music Canada’s announcement did not establish that the deluxe edition had been released.
By the morning of September 19, 2025—the date then associated with the deluxe release—the album was not listed on Spotify or Apple Music, the Los Angeles Times reported. That establishes a missed expected streaming appearance, not the album’s eventual fate.
Which shows and events were affected
The August label announcement published the Withered 2025 World Tour routing. In September, reports described cancellations across the remaining North American dates and the planned European run:
#1 Best Overall
- Portable storage wallet for CDs, DVDs and data disc collections; 400 disc capacity
- Durable, protective exterior case construction with zipper enclosure and carrying handle
- Interior binder sleeves feature soft fabric backing; each page holds 4 discs per side (400 discs total)
- Neatly protect, store and organize music, movies, media and more CD and DVD collections in one place
- Dimensions: 12.2 x 11.7 x 6.6 inches (LxWxH)
- The San Francisco and Los Angeles shows were canceled; the Los Angeles Times reported that the Greek Theatre event had been called off.
- A September 24 Grammy Museum event was also canceled.
- European dates were reported canceled or removed from ticketing listings.
The Los Angeles Times reported those changes on September 19. Rolling Stone Australia’s September 19 report likewise said the remaining North American shows, Grammy Museum event, and European dates had been scrapped. These reports describe the 2025 schedule; they do not establish what happened to any later replacement dates.
What was reported about the album being held
Rolling Stone attributed a report that the label had suspended the release to TMZ. In the same article, Rolling Stone said representatives for d4vd and Interscope had not immediately responded to requests for comment. The suspension account should therefore be understood as reported, not as a public confirmation by the label in that article.

The label announcement confirms the deluxe album was planned, while the September coverage records its absence from streaming services and the canceled events. The sources cited here do not establish a later official release or cancellation announcement, a rescheduled date, or a physical edition. Do not treat the 2025 announcement—or the September streaming absence—as proof of current availability.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced charges against David Burke on April 20, 2026. Its announcement states that the charges are allegations and that “The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.” A charge is not a finding of guilt. The office’s announcement sets out its allegations and the presumption of innocence.

An Associated Press timeline published by Good Morning America records the subsequent procedural developments:
- July 27, 2026: After a preliminary hearing, a judge ruled that Burke would stand trial on the three charges. This is a procedural ruling, not a verdict.
- August 31, 2026: The timeline says his legal representation was allowed to withdraw, he became represented by a public defender, and he again pleaded not guilty.
- September 10, 2026: The timeline reports that Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s family filed a civil lawsuit containing multiple allegations. Those claims are not adjudicated findings.
In its April 2026 arrest report, AP quoted Burke’s attorneys saying: “Let us be clear — the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death.” That is the defense’s position, not a court finding. AP’s report attributes the statement to his attorneys.
