The danger is not over. Removing the talisman from the shrine’s torii has consequences: a giant alien identified as the Flatwoods Monster appears before Momo and Okarun. With the pair in danger, Okarun proposes a plan. The official episode synopsis establishes that cliffhanger setup without requiring details from later installments.
Why does the Flatwoods Monster appear?
The official Japanese episode synopsis connects the monster’s arrival to the removal of the torii talisman. The episode shifts the immediate problem from the Turbo Granny curse to this new alien encounter, putting the supernatural and extraterrestrial sides of the story together. It is a turning point in the episode, not a recap of later-series events.
