El futbolista de raíces mexicanas que se robó el corazón de Alex Morgan es Servando Carrasco. Se conocieron en la Universidad de California, Berkeley, donde ambos jugaban fútbol, y se casaron en 2014. Morgan anunció su retiro del fútbol profesional en septiembre de 2024, así que hoy no debe presentarse como una estrella activa del Team USA.
¿Quién es Servando Carrasco?
Carrasco nació en San Diego, California, en una familia de origen mexicano. Pasó buena parte de su niñez en Tijuana y, durante su adolescencia, vivió en Argentina para desarrollar su fútbol, según el perfil que publicó People en Español el 26 de julio de 2023.
U.S. Soccer señala que Carrasco jugó nueve años en Major League Soccer. El perfil de People en Español menciona entre sus equipos a Seattle Sounders, Houston Dynamo y LA Galaxy; esa lista corresponde a la información publicada en 2023 y no establece cuál es su situación profesional actual.
Cómo conoció a Alex Morgan y cuándo se casaron
Carrasco y Morgan se conocieron en Berkeley, donde ambos jugaban fútbol. Se casaron el 31 de diciembre de 2014. People en Español, al citar a la revista People, contó que la celebración incluyó quesadillas y churros.

People en Español informó que la hija de la pareja, Charlie Elena, nació el 7 de mayo de 2020. En septiembre de 2024, U.S. Soccer informó que Morgan esperaba un segundo hijo; las fuentes citadas no confirman qué ocurrió después.
La carrera de Alex Morgan y su retiro
Alex Morgan anunció su retiro del fútbol profesional el 5 de septiembre de 2024. U.S. Soccer informó que concluyó su carrera con la selección nacional de Estados Unidos con 123 goles y 53 asistencias. La federación también destacó sus dos Copas Mundiales FIFA femeninas y una medalla de oro olímpica.

Al anunciarlo, Morgan describió lo que significó para ella la selección: “I grew up on this team, it was so much more than soccer”, dijo, y mencionó las amistades, el apoyo entre compañeras y la lucha por una mayor inversión global en el deporte femenino. U.S. Soccer publicó el anuncio el 5 de septiembre de 2024; la NWSL también registró la fecha del anuncio en su publicación de ese día.
