Armie Hammer appears in Frontier Crucible, a Western thriller whose trailer coverage marked his return to feature-film acting after he stepped away from the industry following allegations made in 2021. The film was released in U.S. theaters and digitally on December 5, 2025, according to distributor Well Go USA.

Why was the trailer described as Hammer’s acting return?
Variety framed the trailer as Hammer’s return to feature-film acting after he withdrew from the industry following allegations made by several women in 2021. Variety reported that Hammer denied allegations of physical abuse and rape and described the relationships as consensual. It also reported that an LAPD investigation ended with no charges filed. Separately, MovieMaker reported that Los Angeles County prosecutors announced in 2023 that they would not file charges. Those procedural outcomes do not establish whether the allegations were true or false.
MovieMaker’s October 28, 2025 trailer coverage describes a scene in which Hammer’s character pulls off a tarantula’s leg. That is a description of what appears in the trailer, not evidence about an actual animal or events outside the film.
