It names Charlie Sheen in Feldman’s account of an alleged assault on Haim; Sheen denied the allegation, and Haim’s mother disputed it. The film and the reporting about it establish that these claims were made and contested, not that the underlying events have been adjudicated. [Los Angeles Times; Rolling Stone Australia]
Content note: The documentary discusses childhood sexual abuse. CHILD USA’s 2020 viewing guide says there are no graphic scenes, but cautions that frank discussion may be distressing, particularly for survivors. [CHILD USA viewing guide (PDF)]
What the documentary covers
The film follows Feldman’s account of abuse he says he experienced as a child and his allegations that Haim was also abused. It places those accounts in the context of the two actors’ childhood careers and friendship, and raises broader questions about abuse in the entertainment industry. Reporting on the film’s premiere said Feldman named Sheen in connection with his allegation that Haim was raped on the set of Lucas when Haim was 13. That is Feldman’s allegation, not an established finding. [Los Angeles Times; Rolling Stone Australia]
What is disputed—and what the sources establish
Sheen’s representative denied Feldman’s allegation in a statement to the Los Angeles Times: “These sick, twisted and outlandish allegations never occurred. Period,” and directed readers to Judy Haim’s account. The Times reported that Haim had long disputed that Sheen abused her son. Other people in the documentary also repeat the allegation, but their statements are not independent judicial findings. [Los Angeles Times]

The reporting establishes that Feldman made the allegation, that it was included in the documentary, and that Sheen and Haim’s mother disputed it. The cited sources do not resolve whether the alleged assault occurred. The film’s use of “Truth” in its title is not, by itself, proof of the claims.
Premiere and release history
The March 9, 2020 premiere
The Los Angeles premiere was held at the Directors Guild of America on March 9, 2020. A planned $20 online stream encountered an error; Feldman briefly halted the in-person screening, and the web event was canceled while the venue screening continued. Feldman’s team said servers had been attacked, but contemporaneous reporting said it was unclear whether the site had been hacked or had experienced technical problems. The outage is documented; hacking is not established. [Los Angeles Times; Rolling Stone Australia]
