San Diego Comic-Con 2025 brought new footage and panel news for films including Predator: Badlands, TRON: Ares and Project Hail Mary, alongside presentations for returning series and new TV projects. The convention ran July 24–27, 2025. This is a selection of notable film and television presentations supported by event and studio reports, not an exhaustive list of every announcement.
What stood out at Comic-Con 2025?
Hall H programming included major film presentations, while television panels and screenings ranged from Percy Jackson and the Olympians to Alien: Earth and AMC’s Anne Rice series. The Associated Press reported an estimate of 135,000 expected attendees and described the exhibitor section as 460,000 square feet; the attendance figure was an estimate reported during the event, not a verified final count.
The AP also noted that the convention brought no major news about upcoming Marvel movies or the next phase of DC’s Superman film franchise. That describes news about those film slates, not an absence of all Marvel or DC activity at Comic-Con.
Which movies had Hall H presentations?
Predator: Badlands
Disney’s post-event account said director and producer Dan Trachtenberg appeared with Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi. Attendees saw the film’s first 15 minutes and an exclusive look at an alternate ending featuring franchise actors Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Glover. The story follows a young Predator cast out by its clan on a remote planet who finds an unlikely ally in Thia.

AMC Networks
In an announcement dated July 10, AMC Networks said The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon would return to Hall H with an exclusive preview of its season-three trailer. The series was then scheduled to premiere September 7, 2025, on AMC and AMC+.
AMC also announced Ballroom 20 panels for Interview with the Vampire and the new series Anne Rice’s Talamasca. The network said Talamasca was due in October 2025 on AMC and AMC+. Separately, it promoted a Shudder activation based on Clown in a Cornfield and announced that the film would stream on Shudder and AMC+ beginning August 8, 2025. These are the network’s plans as announced in 2025, not claims about present availability.
Could the public watch all the footage shown?
No. The presentations mixed exclusive in-room footage with screenings, panel discussion and material released publicly around the convention. Disney’s accounts describe exclusive previews for Predator: Badlands and TRON: Ares; Amazon MGM’s Project Hail Mary footage included unfinished scenes shown to Hall H. A premiere screening, such as Alien: Earth, is different from a public trailer release.
Rotten Tomatoes’ July 27 roundup collected trailers and clips released around Comic-Con, while cautioning that some footage shown inside the halls remained exclusive. The official Friday and Saturday Comic-Con grids document a wider schedule than the selected presentations covered here.
