Chris Brown was remanded in custody on 16 May 2025 after appearing in court charged with grievous bodily harm with intent. He was later granted bail, pleaded guilty to affray in July 2026 and was bailed pending sentencing. As of 8 October 2026, sentencing is scheduled for 26 October; no sentence has yet been announced.
Is Chris Brown still in custody?
No. The custody order was a remand decision made on 16 May 2025, not a description of Brown’s status in October 2026. The Metropolitan Police reported that he was granted bail on 21 May 2025. After his guilty plea in July 2026, he was again bailed pending sentencing. The available case updates therefore do not support saying that he remains in custody.
