Chappell Roan was announced as the headliner for Laneway Festival 2026, whose six-city run took place from February 5 to 15, 2026. The festival has now concluded. Its lineup paired Roan with international and Australian artists, but performers varied by city, so the full bill was not identical at every stop.
Who was on the Laneway Festival 2026 lineup?
The announced bill included Chappell Roan, Wolf Alice, Role Model, PinkPantheress, Wet Leg, Yung Lean and Bladee, Lucy Dacus, Alex G, BENEE, Cavetown, Mt. Joy, The Dare, Malcolm Todd, Oklou, Jensen McRae, Geese, Wisp, Gigi Perez, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, Blusher, Shady Nasty, Armlock, The Belair Lip Bombs and Djanaba, among other acts. ABC triple j’s announcement coverage and Variety’s September 18, 2025 report identify city- or region-specific performers; not every listed artist played every date.
ABC triple j described the booking as Roan’s first national tour of Australia. That is the outlet’s description: the Laneway run also included Auckland, New Zealand. ABC triple j additionally reported that Yung Lean and bladee would perform a collaboration “only at Laneway Fest.”
When and where did Laneway 2026 take place?
The festival visited six cities between February 5 and February 15, 2026:

ABC triple j reported that the Queensland event moved from Brisbane to the Gold Coast for this edition, and that Adelaide and Perth also had new venues.
Why was there no Brisbane Laneway stop?
For 2026, Laneway’s Queensland date was held at Southport Sharks on the Gold Coast rather than in Brisbane. The announcement coverage establishes the change of city, but does not give a reason for the move.

What did Laneway say about its 21st year?
In Variety’s September 18, 2025 report, co-founders Danny Rogers and Jerome Borazio described Laneway’s growth from a Melbourne street party into an event across Australia and New Zealand. They said: “It’s incredible to be celebrating 21 years of Laneway. What began as a little street party in a Melbourne laneway has grown into a summer ritual across Australia and New Zealand.”
They also said the 2026 edition was “about honouring that history while looking to the future.”

What was reported about tickets and attendance?
ABC triple j reported on September 24, 2025, that Sydney and Melbourne sold out within an hour of general sale opening. That is a historical report about those two dates, not a statement of current ticket availability; the festival has since taken place.
Variety reported that Laneway’s 2025 edition drew more than 200,000 fans at sold-out shows, plus 40,000 at sideshows. Those figures were reported by Variety in its September 18, 2025 article; a separate original attendance release is not established here. No 2026 attendance total is stated in the cited coverage.
