Channel 7’s Australian renovation competition Dream Home, hosted by Dr Chris Brown, premiered at 7pm on Sunday 26 May 2024 on Channel 7 and 7plus. The announced premiere date is now in the past; that launch announcement does not confirm whether episodes are currently available to stream.
How Dream Home’s renovation competition worked
Seven presented Dream Home as a room-by-room contest in which six pairs of everyday Australians renovated one another’s suburban family homes. The network’s upfront description also identified three expert judges and a prize for the winning couple.
On premiere day, host Dr Chris Brown described his role as helping contestants through the pressure of the renovation challenges. In a 7NEWS interview, he said, “I’m there to help lift their spirits and help give them a pep talk when they need it.”
Renovation products and the room reveals
The show’s 2024 launch was supported by partners in home-improvement categories including paint, lighting, tiles, bathroom products, window coverings and renovation services. Seven’s partnership announcement named Dulux, Beacon Lighting, Beaumont Tiles, Highgrove Bathrooms, Luxaflex, hipages and Energy; Luxaflex separately described itself as the series’ exclusive window-covering supplier. These are historical launch partnerships, not confirmation of current sponsorships or product use in any particular episode.
Seven and Pinterest also announced an integration around the room reveals: viewers could explore the designs, save renovation inspiration to Pinterest boards and browse products from program sponsors. For anyone translating a look into a project, the sensible starting point is to identify the room’s needs and check that any paint, lighting, tile, bathroom fixture or window covering suits the relevant surface, installation requirements and project scope. The launch materials establish those categories, but do not provide product specifications or a basis for ranking particular products.

The premiere announcement named 7plus as a launch platform, but it does not establish whether Dream Home episodes remain available there today. Likewise, an Endemol Shine Australia announcement about My Reno Rules, a separate 2026 renovation program for Seven and 7plus also hosted by Dr Chris Brown, is not evidence that Dream Home has been renewed.
