When did Narelda Jacobs and Karina Natt marry?
The couple married on 10 August 2024, according to PerthNow’s report published on 12 August 2024, which says the ceremony took place on the Saturday before publication.
The reports describe their relationship using two different milestones. The Australian Women’s Weekly says their first date was in February 2023; PerthNow says they had been dating since March 2023. Those accounts distinguish a first date from the point at which they describe themselves as dating.
Where was the wedding ceremony?
The wedding took place at an indoor venue in Sydney. Marie Claire’s coverage describes a floral arch and a large window overlooking city buildings, but does not give the venue’s name. The reports do not establish a more specific location, so identifying a particular venue would be speculation.

What did the couple wear?
Both brides wore floor-length gowns by Australian designer Zhivago. Marie Claire describes Jacobs’s long-sleeve dress with a fur accent and Natt’s long-sleeve gown with an open back and shimmering fabric. PerthNow characterizes the dresses as simple and body-hugging, and says Jacobs wore a fur wrap.
For the dancing, Marie Claire reports that the couple changed out of their heels into glittery sneakers, then later changed into disco-style mini dresses.

What made the ceremony personal?
Musician Gordi sang the couple down the aisle, according to The Australian Women’s Weekly. Jacobs’s daughter, Jade, created a sand painting in ochre, deep red, black and tan. The brides stepped barefoot onto the artwork to share their vows. Jacobs described the piece as a way to represent Noongar culture.
Jacobs is described by ABC Listen as a Whadjuk Noongar journalist and Network 10 presenter. The Australian Women’s Weekly says the couple wanted to celebrate with their close blood family and chosen family. In the same feature, Jacobs explained her wish to marry: “I wanted to be able to introduce Karina as my wife.”

Who attended the reception?
The coverage describes a reception that turned into a dance party. PerthNow lists Kylie Kwong, Melissa Leong, Angela Bishop and Luke McGregor among the guests. Marie Claire also names Kween Kong and Dr Amy Thunig-McGregor. PerthNow reports that the couple captioned their Instagram wedding post “Wives.”
