How the video presents its guests
The camera circles Adam Levine as he performs, bringing a new guest into view around him. The Recording Academy describes the movement as creating the impression of a single take. Near the end, Levine’s wife and their four-month-old child appear; the cast returns in the closing moments.
The video brings together people with different public roles. Some are performers or entertainers, while others are athletes, elected officials or advocates. The range is visible in the reported names, but the sources do not establish one shared intention for everyone who took part.

This is the Cardi B remix video, not simply a video for the original album recording. Universal Music Canada announced it on May 30, 2018, described the single and video as featuring Cardi B, and credited David Dobkin as director. The Recording Academy notes that the original “Girls Like You” appeared on Maroon 5’s 2017 album Red Pill Blues.
