Netflix’s official Castlevania: Nocturne coverage reviewed here does not name his father, so his identity should be treated as unknown from those sources—not filled in with a fan theory or an assumption from the games.
Who is Richter Belmont’s mother?
Julia Belmont is explicitly identified as Richter’s mother in Netflix’s Season 1 ending explainer. Netflix’s series preview also describes Julia walking with her young son in Boston in 1783.
What happens to Julia?
The Season 1 explainer says Olrox kills Julia in front of young Richter. That event is part of the series’ opening backstory and establishes why Richter is separated from his mother.
Who is Richter’s father?
The Netflix sources cited here do not name Richter’s father or describe his role. That means his identity is not established by this official coverage; it does not prove that no other canon source could address it. No father’s name should be presented as confirmed by Nocturne on the basis of these pages.

Does the game identify his parents in the series?
Netflix describes Castlevania: Nocturne as a standalone series that expands the Castlevania world and is loosely based on the game Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. The game connection is context, not evidence that a detail from game continuity is confirmed in the show. Keep claims about another continuity separate from what Netflix’s series coverage establishes.
Netflix’s Media Center synopsis provides official series information, while its Season 2 guide likewise describes the series as standalone and loosely based on the game.
