La cobertura suele describir el matrimonio como de cuatro años, una duración redondeada: entre la boda del 31 de diciembre de 2008 y el divorcio registrado en 2011 no transcurrieron cuatro años completos. Galliano no señaló una única causa
En una declaración reproducida por Univision, Galliano dijo que separarse no necesariamente significa que ya no haya amor: “Cuando uno se separa es porque ya no da para más, no porque nos separemos no nos amamos… O te puedes amar, pero hay cosas que no, que se hicieron o se hacen y ya no podía seguir”. En febrero de 2023, durante una entrevista vinculada a la promoción de la obra El Marido Perfecto, Galliano dijo sobre el matrimonio: “Con uno me fue suficiente”.
