Blue Box Season 1, Episode 25 is 「それでも」 (Sore demo), listed in English as “Even So.” The episode turns on Taiki’s response to Hina’s confession and the choice he makes the next morning as the autumn training camp winds down.
What happens in episode 25?
Spoilers for episode 25 below.
Taiki decides to answer Hina’s confession rather than leave her with an ambiguous response. He believes that continuing to act uncertain would hurt her. The next morning, still worried about Hina, he picks up his badminton racket and turns toward his own feelings. Haryu then asks Taiki to play a match as the autumn training camp approaches its end. The episode’s central tension is not simply whether Taiki cares about Hina; it is whether he can respond honestly while recognizing what he himself wants.
What does the ending mean?
Taiki’s racket signals a return to the part of his life he can actively choose: facing his feelings rather than remaining stuck in uncertainty. Haryu’s invitation gives that decision an immediate sporting form. The match is a setup for Taiki’s next choice, not a resolution of every romantic question raised by Hina’s confession.
The episode’s title, “Even So,” fits that persistence: concern for Hina remains, but it does not erase Taiki’s need to be honest with himself. The official synopsis emphasizes this turn from an unclear response to a deliberate effort to face his own feelings.
