Ricco’s answers are a personal account of bereavement and meaning-making. She said she initially did not want to move forward and held on to the dreams she and Palomo had shared. She described a spiritual path and the idea that a person is “more than a body” as helping her gain perspective. Those reflections explain the interview’s “Healed by Music” framing, but the article does not establish a general therapeutic effect of music.
Why Viaje Personal sounded different to Ricco
Ricco described Viaje Personal as more rock-oriented than her earlier records. She said she experimented with sounds, mood, and chords, and was less focused on building a chorus around a hook. In her words, that choice gave her “much more freedom as a composer.” This is Ricco’s description of her approach, rather than an independent genre classification.

The title reflected how she understood both the album and life: as a journey shaped by accumulated experiences and rendered in songs. She said, “I feel that we fill ourselves with experiences as we go, and this disc represents my personal journey.”
The songs Ricco singled out
Asked about the album’s songs, Ricco highlighted three for different reasons:
- “Planeta Azul”: She named it as the song with the most emotion, explaining that she added piano and that the result came out as she wanted.
- “Ángel y demonio”: She described the song as warm.
- “No me dejes caer”: She called it her favorite track musically, describing it as profound and saying she enjoyed performing it on stage.
These comments offer a glimpse of what mattered to Ricco in the arrangements and performances, rather than a ranking of the album’s songs.
How fans supported Ricco and her children
Ricco described Palomo’s fans as sweet and respectful. She recalled that they created an online page where they could send birthday wishes and messages of love to Fiona and Luca. In the interview, she presented that gesture as a meaningful source of support for her family.
