What happened in Bowen Yang’s final SNL episode?
The December 20, 2025 Christmas episode gave Yang a farewell through a fictional airport lounge employee’s final shift. In the closing sketch, the character was preparing to leave his job on Christmas Eve when Grande and Cher joined him in song. The sketch’s story offered a fictional frame for the goodbye. Yang’s tears were reported as part of the broadcast; there is no need to infer more about his private feelings than that account establishes.
