CBS’s episode listing identifies “Entitlement” as Season 14, Episode 17. Its synopsis gives the episode four storylines:

- Danny and Baez investigate the death of a star student found in her dorm.
- Eddie and Badillo help a man whose apartment has been taken over by a squatter. The squatter is also Jamie’s confidential informant.
- Frank suspects the Governor has an agenda behind a proposal to him.
- Erin oversteps while trying to play matchmaker for Anthony.
That mix gives the episode a broad family-and-workplace frame: a death investigation, a housing dispute with a personal connection to Jamie, a political negotiation, and Erin’s attempt to manage someone else’s romantic life. The official synopsis establishes those premises, but not how much time each receives or how the individual plots resolve. CBS’s episode page lists a 43-minute runtime and a TV-14 rating (D, V, L).
Does it work as a prelude to the finale?
“Entitlement” comes immediately before the series finale, but “prelude” should be understood as a matter of sequence rather than a claim about plot foreshadowing. CBS lists “End of Tour” as Episode 18, airing December 13, 2024, one week after “Entitlement.” The episode listings do not establish that the earlier installment meaningfully sets up the finale.

Its four-part structure offers several possible points of interest: whether the procedural and personal stories feel balanced, whether Jamie’s connection adds stakes to the housing dispute, and whether Frank’s suspicions develop into a consequential political conflict. Those are useful questions for judging the episode, but the synopsis alone cannot answer them or establish the episode’s pacing, performances, or dramatic payoff.
Where it sits in the series
In its finale preview, CBS describes Blue Bloods as a 14-year series with 293 episodes. That scale gives the penultimate episode a clear place in a long-running family drama’s final season, but it does not mean “Entitlement” resolves the series’ larger arcs. CBS’s finale preview supplies the series context; its episode guide confirms the order and dates for the last two installments.
