The box set also brings together solo outtakes, a newly filmed performance of the original Nebraska album in sequence, and a 2025 remaster of the album.
What’s in Nebraska ’82: Expanded Edition?
This is a broader collection of material from the Nebraska period, not a standalone Electric Nebraska box set. Bruce Springsteen’s official announcement describes a five-disc set that combines several kinds of audio and video:

When was the set released?
The initial announcement listed October 17, 2025. Production delays pushed the release back one week, and the set was released on October 24, 2025. Springsteen’s release update explained the delay, while the release-day post confirmed it was out. Sony Music Vinyl also lists October 24, 2025 as the date for its LP edition.

The official product pages list two configurations. Choose according to whether you prefer CDs or vinyl; both include a Blu-ray.

Electric Nebraska refers here to The E Street Band sessions included in the expanded collection. Springsteen described the sessions as “kinda like punk rockabilly” and said, “We were trying to bring Nebraska into the electric world,” according to a 2025 MusicRadar report.
A TIME feature published September 25, 2025 reported that Springsteen found the tapes in his archives after previously saying he did not recall an Electric Nebraska record in the vault. The feature said he confirmed the tapes existed and would be released that fall.
