Bunnie XO’s joking “hall pass” was Chris “Motionless” Cerulli, lead singer of Motionless in White. She met him at the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas, then posted about finally meeting her celebrity crush. Her husband, Jelly Roll, joined in with a supportive “Bout time” comment. Bunnie later clarified that the exchange was an inside joke, not evidence of an actual change to their marriage arrangement.
Who was Bunnie XO’s “hall pass”?
It was Chris “Motionless” Cerulli, the lead singer of the metal band Motionless in White. Bunnie met him backstage at Sick New World in Las Vegas and also watched the band perform there. Yahoo’s April 30, 2024 report, citing PEOPLE, says she posted the TikTok on April 28; Life & Style described the meeting and video as taking place April 27. Those accounts distinguish the reported event date from the post date, rather than establishing one definitive date for both.
What did Bunnie post, and how did Jelly Roll respond?
The video used the text, “When you finally get to meet your hall pass,” and its caption joked, “You could say we’re in love now.” Jelly Roll commented, “Bout time.” The playful framing presented Cerulli as a celebrity crush; it did not report that the couple had agreed to an actual hall-pass arrangement. Yahoo Entertainment’s April 30, 2024 report recounts the post and response.
What did Bunnie say the joke meant?
After some followers criticized the post, Bunnie said she and Jelly Roll were laughing about it and called the exchange innocent. In a May 6, 2024 PEOPLE interview excerpt republished by Yahoo, she explained: “It’s a joke, but it’s not. I love Motionless in White. I think Chris is adorable, but, I mean, that’s it.” She also described the joke as an inside reference to her husband’s admiration for Taylor Swift. Yahoo’s May 6 report carries her clarification.

Why did Bunnie call the reaction a double standard?
Bunnie contrasted the criticism of her meeting Cerulli with the positive response when Jelly Roll met Taylor Swift. She said she saw that difference as a double standard. That was her characterization of the reactions, not proof of a broader measured trend.

On its own, the post is not evidence of infidelity, marital conflict, or a private rule permitting either spouse to pursue someone else. The available reports describe Bunnie calling it a joke and quote Jelly Roll responding supportively. Yahoo’s April 30 report also relayed Jelly Roll’s reflection from an earlier PEOPLE interview: “It ain’t always been Hallmark cards and Care Bears, and we had to really put in a lot of work to be together, and it was worth it.” That relationship comment is attributed to Jelly Roll through the report; it does not establish the couple’s private rules about celebrity crushes.
