Brooke Hogan said she asked to be removed from her father Hulk Hogan’s will because she feared his estate could pull her into family conflict after his death. She said she did not care about the money and wanted to avoid fighting with people in his life. Separately, Us Weekly reported that a final amendment dated July 28, 2023, excluded Brooke and her descendants as beneficiaries and estate representatives; the available reporting does not establish precisely how her request and that amendment were connected.
Why Brooke said she wanted out
In an interview on Bubba the Love Sponge Show reported by Parade on August 5, 2025, Brooke described being afraid of a divisive fight over her father’s estate. She said she did not want to fight her mother, Linda, or people around Hulk Hogan, including his wife, Sky Daily. Parade reported her saying, “I don’t want to fight Linda, I don’t want to fight Scientology…It scared me. And I just said, I want out.” The reference to Scientology is part of Brooke’s quoted account, not independent evidence about anyone’s affiliation or conduct. Parade’s August 5, 2025 account also says Brooke recalled that she was sobbing when she texted her father’s money manager: “take me off everything, I don’t want to be a part of it.”

Brooke later told TMZ, in remarks reported by Us Weekly on August 6, 2025, “I have no plans of digging deeper because I didn’t care about the money. That’s the truth.” Us Weekly also reported her account that her power of attorney was told she was completely off the will. Us Weekly’s report of the interview presents this as Brooke’s description, not a formal explanation from the estate.
What the reporting says about the will
There are two related but distinct accounts: Brooke’s reported request to be removed, and a later-published description of the will’s legal language. Us Weekly said it obtained Hulk Hogan’s will and amendments, and reported that his final amendment, dated July 28, 2023, excluded Brooke and her descendants as beneficiaries and estate representatives. The report does not establish whether that amendment followed Brooke’s request, reflected a separate decision, or how the two events were legally connected. It therefore does not support treating “her father cut her out” as a settled account of motive or sequence. Us Weekly’s September 10, 2025 report on the will describes the document and amendment.

What Brooke hoped to do instead
Parade reported that Brooke hoped to manage her father’s intellectual property and trademarks to help shape his legacy, but that did not happen. This describes her reported wish, not evidence that she owned or would have received those rights under the will. Us Weekly’s account of court paperwork reported the estate filing valued intellectual property at $4 million; that is a figure attributed to the filing by the outlet, not an independently verified valuation or proof of Brooke’s entitlement.

TMZ reported, citing sources close to Brooke, that a small life-insurance trust was separate from the estate inheritance and that she planned to direct her share toward her children’s college funds. That report is about a separate trust, not a provision of the will, and its details are attributed to TMZ’s sources rather than an official estate statement. TMZ’s July 29, 2025 report provides that account.

How the public accounts developed
- 2023: TMZ and Us Weekly place Brooke’s reported request to be removed in this year; Us Weekly dates the reported final will amendment to July 28, 2023. Those reports do not resolve the exact sequence between the request and amendment.
- July 29, 2025: TMZ reported the removal request, citing sources close to Brooke, and described the separate insurance trust.
- July 30, 2025: Us Weekly quoted Brooke’s husband, Steve Oleksy, discussing her decision. He said he believed she had upheld her father’s best interests; this was his characterization, not a neutral finding. Us Weekly’s July 30 report also recounts Brooke’s public comments about the estrangement.
- August 5–6, 2025: Parade reported Brooke’s interview explanation and her hopes about intellectual property; Us Weekly then reported her remarks in a TMZ interview about the will.
- September 10, 2025: Us Weekly reported that it had obtained the will and amendments, including the final amendment’s date and exclusions.
