PWMania published its report on May 22, 2025, describing Lesnar with long hair during a public outing with his wife, Rena “Sable” Lesnar. The outlet contrasted the hairstyle with the shorter cuts associated with his in-ring appearances. Lesnar’s status changed after the hiatus-era report
On August 4, 2026, MMA Fighting reported that Lesnar announced his retirement on The Pat McAfee Show after SummerSlam. Lesnar said: “I’m here today to do this interview to let the world and everybody know that I am retired and I wanted to say a big thank you to everybody,” as quoted by MMA Fighting.
