Jama’s reported connection is rooted in her Bristol family; Size describes himself as a lifelong supporter; and Barrow has been identified as a fan who has played in Rovers charity matches.
Why Maya Jama supports Bristol Rovers
Jama’s reason, as reported by BristolLive, is local and familial: she is from Bristol, and her family supports Rovers. BristolLive also notes that she had been friends with then-Bristol City player Bobby Reid, but that detail does not change the explanation she gave for choosing the club.

“I went with Bristol Rovers because I am from Bristol. My family support Bristol Rovers, that’s their local team.”
That statement is attributed to Jama by BristolLive’s feature, republished by inkl. It supports her identification as a supporter; it does not establish how often she attends matches.

Roni Size: a lifelong supporter
Drum and bass musician Roni Size gives the clearest first-person account of the three. BristolLive quotes him describing lifelong support and recounts early memories of following Rovers.
“I’ve been supporting Bristol Rovers all my life. There’s only one team in Bristol as far as I’m concerned.”

The club also included Size among its Bristol Rovers celebrities in coverage of the 2026 Talk Club Cup, a charity fixture featuring celebrities and club legends. That is additional evidence of his association with the club, though an event listing cannot measure a supporter’s devotion.
Geoff Barrow: a fan and charity-match participant
BristolLive identifies Portishead musician Geoff Barrow as a Rovers fan and reports that he has played in charity matches for the club. Bristol Rovers’ official Talk Club Cup article also names him among the club’s celebrities for that event. These sources establish a public connection to Rovers, without documenting his match-going habits or private level of support.

How these three celebrity supporters differ
| Name | Evidence of connection |
|---|---|
| Maya Jama | BristolLive reports that she chose Rovers because she is from Bristol and her family supports the club. |
| Roni Size | He is quoted by BristolLive describing lifelong support; the club also named him in its 2026 Talk Club Cup celebrity coverage. |
| Geoff Barrow | BristolLive identifies him as a fan and reports charity-match appearances; the club named him in its 2026 Talk Club Cup celebrity coverage. |
These are different kinds of evidence, not a scale for ranking fame or loyalty. BristolLive’s feature includes a broader list of figures and gives no comparative method for determining who is most famous. The trio are therefore notable examples, not a verified top three.
