Variety identifies David Corenswet as Superman and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, with Rachel Brosnahan returning as Lois Lane. DC’s announcement of the preceding Superman film also named Corenswet, Brosnahan, and Hoult. Release schedules can change, so the date is the announced plan rather than a guarantee.

Brainiac is a long-running Superman adversary whose portrayals have varied across comics and other media. TheWrap credits writer Otto Binder and artist Al Plastino with creating the character, who first appeared in 1958’s Action Comics #242. Common versions depict Brainiac as a highly intelligent antagonist associated with conquest, but that background does not confirm how the character will be portrayed in Man of Tomorrow. TheWrap’s casting report provides the cited comic-history context.
